Yes. Kit is free to use today. A free account lets you save recipes, brainstorm new ones with Kit, and cook step-by-step with no ads.
Do I need an account to use Kit?
You can browse Kit's recipe collection without signing in. A free account is required to save recipes to your own cookbook and use Kit's AI features.
How do I add recipes to Kit?
Several ways. Paste any recipe URL, snap a photo of a cookbook page, or paste plain text — Kit parses each into ingredients and steps. You can also save recipes from Kit's collection with one click, brainstorm new ideas based on what you're craving, or draft a recipe from scratch with Kit's help.
What does Kit use AI for?
Kit uses AI in a few places to make cooking easier: parsing recipes you paste or photograph, brainstorming meal ideas when you're not sure what to cook, drafting new recipes when you want to invent something, and answering questions while you cook — substitutions, technique, timing. You can edit anything Kit creates, and we don't share your recipes or preferences with anyone outside Kit.
Does Kit personalize to my taste?
Yes. Your saved recipes, cuisine preferences, dietary needs, and dislikes feed into how Kit suggests new ideas and drafts recipes — brainstorm results get more tailored as Kit learns what you cook. You can review and edit your preferences anytime in your account.
What is included in Premium?
Premium is coming soon. Today, signed-in members get access to all of Kit's current features, including AI brainstorming, recipe imports, and step-by-step cook mode. When Premium launches, it'll unlock unlimited recipes and additional cooking-time AI assistance.
Does Kit show ads?
No. Kit is ad-free, including during cook mode — no scrolling past life stories to get to the recipe. We don't sell your data or run third-party ad tracking.
Does Kit work on mobile?
Yes. Kit works in any modern mobile browser. A native iOS or Android app is on the roadmap but not available yet.
