Welcome to Kit! These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("you" or "User") and Kit App ("we," "us," or "our") governing your access to and use of the Kit application ("Kit" or the "Service").
By creating an account, accessing, or using Kit, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use Kit.
Kit is an AI-powered cooking companion that helps you discover, save, modify, and cook recipes through conversational interaction. Kit is provided as an early-access product. The Service may be modified, updated, interrupted, or discontinued at any time without prior notice. We do not guarantee that Kit will be available at all times or that it will be free of errors.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use Kit. If you are between 13 and 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf. We reserve the right to request verification of age or parental consent at any time.
To use Kit, you must create an account using a supported authentication method (currently Google Sign-In, with additional methods planned). You are responsible for:

Kit uses artificial intelligence to provide recipe suggestions, cooking guidance, and conversational assistance. Please understand the following:
Kit allows you to save, modify, annotate, and create recipes ("User Content"). You retain ownership of any original User Content you create. By using Kit, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display your User Content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service.
Recipes imported from third-party websites remain subject to their original copyright and licensing terms. Kit stores these for your personal, non-commercial use only. You are responsible for ensuring your use of third-party recipes complies with applicable copyright laws.
Kit allows you to share recipes with other users via shareable links. When you share a recipe:
Kit, including its design, software, AI models, branding, and all related materials, is the property of Kit App and is protected by intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or branding without our prior written consent.
Kit is currently free during the early-access period. We plan to introduce a subscription model in the future, which may include free and premium tiers. When subscription pricing is introduced:
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Kit App and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in connection with your use of Kit, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another party.
We may suspend or terminate your access to Kit at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. You may stop using Kit at any time by discontinuing use and, optionally, requesting account deletion.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We may, at our discretion, retain or delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or via email. Your continued use of Kit after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
If a dispute arises between you and Kit App, we encourage you to contact us first at legal@kitcookingapp.com so we can attempt to resolve the issue informally. If we are unable to resolve a dispute informally, either party may pursue resolution through the courts as described in Section 17.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
